Best places to eat in Prague

Asa cum am promis, am revenit cu cele mai tari locuri de luat masa in Praga.
De fiecare data cand calatoresc incerc sa am o experienta autentica culinara, asa ca am experimentat destul de mult si in aceasta excursie ?

Vreau sa va spun ca se mananca foarte bine la ei, dar dupa cateva zile de mancare traditionala, s-ar putea sa va “cada greu” (ganditi-va numai ca la ei gulasul de vita se serveste si dimineata.. o nebunie!!)

Mancarea lor traditionala include in general carne, precum carnati, gulas de vita, carne de porc cu diverse sosuri, genul de mancare foarte agreata si de romani. Mie sincer mi-a fost putin greu sa ma adaptez pentru ca nu prea mananc carne, dar am facut o exceptie si nu pot sa zic ca nu mi-a placut!

As I promised, I’m back with an article about the best places to eat in Prague.

Whenever I travel I look forward to having an authentic culinary experience and I tried a lot of new things during this trip?

I want to tell you that their food is really tasty, and you have plenty of options, but after a few days of traditional food you may feel like it’s too much ( just imagine that they eat beef goulash in the morning!:)) )

Their traditional food includes mostly meat as sausages, beef goulash, pork meat with different sauces, the same type of food romanians love. To me it was a little bit difficult to adapt because I’m not a huge meat lover, but I made an exception and I must say I’m not regretting it!

RO: Cafe Louvre

Locatie: Národní 22, Praha 1

Clar unul dintre locurile noastre preferate din Praga, am fost de 2 ori in timpul calatoriei de 4 zile sa luam micul dejun.
Au foarte multe optiuni, preturile sunt super avantajoase fata de tot ce am vazut in rest, iar mancarea este foarte gustoasa. Decorul este de asemenea foarte rafinat, iar servirea, impecabila. Practic, numai de bine!!

Ca recomandare, daca va place cafeaua, incercati cafe vienois, aroma cafelei e super intensa, iar frisca facuta in casa este DELICIOASA! Va recomand si oua cu bacon, sunt facute intr-un stil pe care nu il mai incercasem, dar acum gatim destul de frecvent acasa si a devenit mic dejunul nostru preferat!

Location: Národní 22, Praha 1

Definitely one of our favorite places to eat in Prague, we went here 2 times during our 4 days stay to have breakfast. They have a lot of options, the prices are really affordable compared to other breakfast places, and the food is really good! The location is also beautiful and the service is irreproachably fast, so I have only good things to say about this place!

If you like coffee, I want to recommend you cafe vienois, the flavour is really intense and the homemade cream is DELICIOUS! I’d also suggest bacon and eggs, the recipe is different than other I’ve tried and now it has become our favorite breakfast at home.

RO: U Kroka

Locatie: Vratislavova 28/12, Praha 2

Este tot pe primul loc in topul meu, dar pentru masa de pranz.

Cred ca nu exagerez cand spun ca am servit cea mai buna supa din viata mea, supa de usturoi cu bacon! Am fost putin reticenta pentru ca nu mai incercasem supa de usturoi vreodata din cauza ca ma gandeam ca va fi foarte intensa aroma. Vai, dar aceasta a fost extraordinaraaa! Iubitul meu a servit supa de casa cu ficat si taitei, o alta bunatate!

Pentru felul doi am impartit o friptura de pork gatita in bere neagra si recomand acest dish pentru iubitorii de carne!

Am incercat si un desert care nu a avut nimic special, dar ne-a placut foarte mult prezentarea lui.

Preturile sunt de asemenea foarte avantajoase comparativ cu alte restaurante cu mancare mai putin delicioasa! Deci sa nu ratati acest loc si supa de usturoi!!!

Location: Vratislavova 28/12, Praha 2

This place is also on the first place in my top, but for lunch.

I don’t think I’m exagerrating when I say that I’ve eaten the best soup ever here: the garlic soup with bacon! I was a little bit reluctant at first because I haven’t tried garlic soup before and I thought that the flavour would be too strong. But it was just PERFECT! My boyfriend had soup of the day which was liver soup with homemade noodles, another delicious dish!

For the second course we shared Boned pork knuckle with Kozel dark beer which I’d also recommend.

We also tried one dessert but it was not so special, though the presentation was nice.

The prices here were really good compared to other places with less delicious food! Don’t miss this place and the garlic soup!!

RO: U Parlamentu

Locatie: Valentinska 52/8, Stare Mesto

Aici am luat cina in prima seara cand am ajuns. A fost practic primul contact cu mancarea traditionala ceha si nu a dezamagit!

Eu am servit “ Moravian roast pork, potato dumplings and spinach “: friptura de porc cu un fel de galuste de cartof si spanac si a fost wow! Iubitul meu a incercat “ Parliament goulash, bread dumplings” dar nu ne-a impresionat asa tare.

Totusi, daca sunteti prin zona si va doriti mancare traditionala, recomand!

Location: Valentinska 52/8, Stare Mesto

We had dinner here on the first night when we arrived. It was the first contact we had with the czech food and we were not disappointed!

I had “ Moravian roast pork, potato dumplings and spinach” which was really good! My boyfriend tried “ Parliament goulash “ which hasn’t impressed us that much..

Still, if you are in this area and want to try traditional czech food, I recommend it!

RO: U Glaubicu

Locatie: Malostranske nam, 266/5

Scriind acest articol imi dau seama ca am avut o experienta culinara extraordinara in Praga, sincer!

Ne-am oprit la acest restaurant pentru masa de pranz si fiecare dintre noi si-a luat cate o supa in paine: eu supa de varza cu carnati, iar Alex gulas. Alex e putin mai ghinionist cand vine vorba de mancare, norocul lui e ca impart totul cu el:)), pentru ca din nou, supa mea a fost wow, iar a lui nu prea.

Vreau sa mentionez faptul ca si painea era dementiala, nu numai ciorba!!

While writing this article I realize what a great culinary experience we had in Prague!

We stopped at this restaurant for lunch and we both had a bread soup. I had cabbage soup with sausages and Alex had goulash soup. Apparently, Alex is a little bit unlucky when it comes to food, because again, my soup was awesome and his.. not that great, but still tasty! He’s still lucky that I always share my food with him!

I want to mention that the bread was also amazingly tasty and crunchy! Don’t miss the cabbage soup!!

RO: Holesovicka Sedma

Locatie: Dukelských Hrdinů 696/43, Praha 7

Eram in acest cartier cautand thriftshopuri si ne-a apucat foarte rau foamea, desi planificam sa mancam in centru. Am ales sa intram pentru ca erau recenzii destul de bune pe tripadvisor, iar foamea chiar era mare!:))

De data asta Alex a fost norocosul castigator, a comandat niste coaste de porc foarte bune! Eu, in schimb, am comandat un fel de branza pane si nu mi-a placut, dar am impartit coastele de porc. Acest restaurant nu este un must, dar daca sunteti in zona si va e foarte foame, puteti incerca. Poate aveti mai mult noroc cu preparatele traditionale.

Location: Dukelských Hrdinů 696/43, Praha 7

We were in this neighborhood looking for thrift shops and we started to feel really hungry. We were planning to eat in the old town but we couldn’t wait so we stopped here because it had good reviews on tripadvisor among the few places in the area.

This time Alex was the lucky one! He ate pork ribs which were really tasty! I had some fried cheese which were not special at all and I didn’t enjoy them that much.

I would recommend this one only if you are in the area and you are really hungry. Otherwise, it’s not a must!
