EN:
I just came back from Stockholm where I spent 5 wonderful days and even though I really loved the city there were some things that surprised me so here is what you should know before visiting Stockholm:
RO:
1. Best way to get around/ Cel mai facil mod de a vizita orasul
EN:
The best way to get around the city is by bike or by scooter. There are more reasons to do so. Firstly, because even though the city is small, it is made up of 14 islands, so the lengths may be too big to walk, and public transportation can be more expensive. Secondly, because their biking infrastructure is very well developed, there are bicycle paths on every street and there are also a lot of parking spots.
RO:

2. Public transportation/ Transportul in comun
EN:
Public transportation in Stockholm consists of bus, metro, tram and ferry. There are two things I want to mention to you regarding this subject. First of all, using public transportation in Stockholm is not cheap. It costs approximately 4$ a trip, but the good thing is that the ticket is valid for 75 minutes, and in this interval you can take more means of transportations. The second thing I want to mention is that you should get the SL app on your phone which is free and will let you buy tickets, and can also guide you. This app is really handy because you can buy tickets anytime and anywhere you are (Here are the links for IOS and Android).
RO:
Transportul in comun in Stockholm e alcatuit din autobuz, metrou, tramvai si ferryboat. Vreau sa mentionez 2 lucruri in legatura cu acest subiect. Nu e ieftin sa folosesti transportul in comun in acest oras.

3. Everybody speaks English/ Toata lumea vorbeste Engleza
EN:
Don’t be nervous if you don’t speak Swedish, almost everybody speaks fluent English from kids to elderly people. Also, all the people are kind and eager to help.
RO:
4. Cashless city/ Nu ai nevoie de bani cash
EN:
There’s no need to carry money in Stockholm. Almost everywhere you pay by card, even the tip at the restaurants – they hand you the POS and you enter the amount you want to pay – it’s that easy! We honestly didn’t have any cash and we didn’t need to.
RO:
5. Lunch offer/ Oferte de pranz
EN:
Many restaurants, even the popular ones, have cheaper prices during lunch hours. Also, some of them may offer for free a little buffet and coffee. If you really like a place, but you consider it too expensive to have dinner there, check if they have a lunch menu and go then! I can name you two restaurants that have lunch offers, but there are many more: Meno Male – the best pizza (they have many locations around town) and Meatballs for the people – best place to try the traditional Swedish meatballs.
RO:

Don’t bother buying water. Most restaurants or cafes don’t even sell water because the tap water is drinkable and they offer it for free almost everywhere.
RO:
7. Free coffee/ Cafea gratuita
EN:
Some bakeries offer free filter coffee if you serve anything from them, so make sure you look for that. One cafe we loved that does this is Vete-Katten, a popular bakery among locals, where you can try their popular cinnamon bun!
RO:

8. Free Museums/ Muzee cu intrare gratuita
EN:
There are a lot of museums in Stockholm offering free access, and we’ve visited 6 of them (from the best to least liked): The Hallwyl Collection, National Museum, Museum of Mediterranean and Near Eastern Antiquities, Natural History Museum, Maritime Museum, Moderna Museum; Here you can find a bigger list.

9. Don’t shop on Sunday/ Duminica magazinele sunt inchise
EN:
We weren’t aware of this before arriving in Stockholm, so it took us by surprise that there were very little things to do on a Sunday there. If you want to go shopping, it’d be better if you do that on a weekday.
RO:
10. Metro art/ Arta la metrou
EN:
Stockholm’s underground is often called the world’s longest art gallery since it has 90 stations decorated with art. We visited T-Centralen and Stadion, but there are a lot more beautiful ones you should check if you have time. Find the most beautiful stations here.
RO:
